Role Profile
Our client, a market leading retail business based in the North West, is looking to appoint a Branch Merchandiser due to growth in 2019. Reporting into the Merchandise Manager, you will play a key part in developing the branch merchandising strategy whilst optimising KPI's relating to sales, markdown, stock, intake and profit plans. Following a hugely successful 2018, this is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and hardworking individual to join a growing retail business that can offer further development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing weekly overview of store performance
  • IBT / fast track management
  • Maximising sale period sell thru by creation and management of sale grading, forecasting ideal sale launch stock levels by store
  • Pre and post peak season stock moves
  • Attending Monday trade meetings
  • Acting as the first point of contact within the merchandising team regarding store issues
  • Co-ordinating store visits
  • Designing a store visit preparation pack and reporting mechanism
  • Creating core line lists and availability reporting
  • Developing and presenting the branch merchandising strategy, covering individual areas of responsibility, referencing learning from the previous year
  • Establishing a robust grading process
  • Attending range reviews
  • Working with space planning to ensure the store option counts are accurate
  • Ensuring the range planning meets options and space plans at store level
  • Supporting in optimising flow of product through the DC
  • New store stock builds


Skills & Experience

  • Branch merchandising experience is essential at Junior level or above
  • Highly organised with the ability to cope with the pressures of working in a fast-paced head office
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
