Role Profile

This newly created Contracts Manager role will ensure effective contract accuracy and compliance, deliver support to Sales colleagues and Project Management from pre-bid through to the conclusion of each contract and ensure high levels of customer service balanced with a strong commercial focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read contracts and apply the contract management process, ensuring that they are compliant with Fives Group directives plus relevant laws and regulations
  • Ensure liabilities and risks are highlighted, contained and/or managed
  • Maintain accurate and up to date contractual records
  • Monitor quotations, technical assessments and bid solutions in the pre-bid phase to ensure compliance, timeliness and value-added processes
  • Utilize the CRM system effectively to record and provide information to drive sales activity
  • Provide monthly management reports and ongoing support to Sales colleagues and project Managers

Skills & Experience

  • Strong contractual knowledge, familiar with contractual terms and negotiating practices
  • High attention to detail with ability to be rigorously analytical; well-developed commercial acumen
  • Relevant technical, legal or commercial knowledge, gained either practically and/or with a degree
  • Able to explain contractual terms to non-technical colleagues and describe risks and implications
  • Proven experience in providing commercial support in an international business environment, supplying to complex industries and organisations
  • Practical experience in a direct selling within a technical B2B environment would be useful
