Customer Service Assistant



Role Profile

Our client, a 3PL partner have enlisted the services of Cast UK as they look to recruit an experienced, dynamic Customer Service Assistant to be based out of their Hoddesdon operation. The Customer Service Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day customer relations servicing both internal and external customers. The Customer Service Assistant will ensure that all calls are completed quickly and efficiently to the satisfaction of the customer escalating issues where necessary

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure all calls are accurately logged and managed professionally in a timely manner
  • To be aware of the correct escalation procedures within the depot
  • Responsible for ensuring all information offered to Customers is current and up to date
  • To liaise effectively with other departments and depots in a professional and appropriate manner
  • To ensure specific daily tasks are completed within the given time frame
  • To understand the principles of how the Business works and how customer service interface with the client
  • To ensure Customer ad hoc requests are addressed within specific contractual guidelines
  • To offer assistance to tele-order during peak/busy periods to ensure all Customer orders are captured within deadlines
  • Inform Customers of any potential problems/changes to their deliveries
  • Any ad-hoc duties requested by the Team Leader

This is an office-based customer service role providing support to the operations and BDM teams. The successful candidate will have Ability to work on own initiative making empowered decisions where necessary. Ideally the person fulfilling the role will have commercially aware in the event of credit claims & Business impact.

A flexiblie approach to work is required with various shifts between the hours of 05:30 and 19:00.
