Role Profile
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving business in the Stockport area as a Buyer, initially on an interim basis (contract will be 3-6 months).
This is a fast-paced busy role working for a company that continues to experience significant growth and success.
Your Key Responsibilities as Interim Buyer will include:
- Placing purchase orders with suppliers on SAP
- Expediting deliveries
- Negotiating pricing and delivery terms in order to achieve best possible commercial agreements
- Resolving day to day supply issues and supporting the Purchasing Manager with day to day purchasing activities as required
- Striving for continuous improvement in SAP, systems, processes and procedures
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced purchasing role within manufacturing
- Good working knowledge of SAP
- Confidence and tenacity to negotiate with suppliers on terms and pricing
- High attention to detail and good organisation skills
- Passion and drive to progress your career in Purchasing
