Role Profile

My client is a global distribution business who are looking to recruit a high calibre Internal Sales Co-ordinator for their Distribution centre based in Northamptonshire.

The Internal Sales Co-ordinator will take responsibility for working in partnership with External Sales providing the best end to end service for customers, ensuring a slick and effective supply chain process with clear ownership and accountability. This role will is essential in supporting sales to achieve profitable new business with customer service at the forefront of their focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with External Sales providing the best end to end service for customers
  • Managing the day-to-day relationship with the customer (order processing, queries, enquiries)
  • Understanding and exceeding the customers SLA and contractual requirements
  • Maximising sales opportunities via cross-selling, clearance and supporting the exit of aged stock
  • Follow process and procedures in the tasks required to ensure consistency in approach
  • Complete structured weekly meetings with External Sales
  • Ensure all product codes are set up and amended as required with acute attention to detail
  • Manage direct supplier deliveries by keeping in touch with the Supplier with regards to delivery dates, requesting POD's to confirm delivery and receipting accordingly via Sage
  • Complete non-complex enquiries in line with customer requests using the guided matrix for supplier selection
  • Build excellent relationships with existing suppliers and customers
  • Operate with integrity and commercial awareness when approaching each task
  • Work closely with Finance to resolve any invoice queries and liaise cross functionally to resolve any queries and exceed customer expectations

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of 'end to end' customer order process, systems and practices
  • Customer centric mindset with someone who has exceptional commercial acumen
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Tools (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Proactive positive approach to problem solving
  • Flexible working attitude with a drive to succeed
