Role Profile
Our client is a leading business within their field, designing and manufacturing own-label products for major retail chains. They are looking to recruit a Merchandiser for their operation based in West Yorkshire. Reporting into the Sales Manager, you will be accountable for maximising stock availability and order fulfilment in their various customer channels, in order to achieve agreed service level KPIs. The business is experiencing an exciting period of growth and are looking for someone to manage the inventory, updating sales and stock-holding, and build long-term relationships with their customers. The role would suit a strong Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser looking for their next opportunity in a business where they can develop their experience. The role is Mon- Fri with flexibility required in line with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Update weekly sales and D/C stock data
- Sales analysis on customer sales, and reviewing stock requirements internally and for customers
- Co-ordinate and run Weekly/Monthly internal stock meetings
- Optimise correct levels and dates for stock coming into Warehouse against KPI's
- Liaise with customers on stock and production
- Process sales orders received, checking availability on all orders and liaising with Warehouse to ensure 100% availability
- Request booking/delivery details from customer
- Liaise with Warehouse on orders sent and arranging transport
- Update customer service and internal sales order trackers
- Attend regular stock meetings with customers
Key Skills
- Highly organised with a methodical and focused work attitude and great attention to detail
- Forward thinking & pro-active with excellent time management skills to handle a varied workload
- Practical and enthusiastic with a desire to succeed and a great work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people quickly and effectively
- A minimum of 2 years experience in merchandising
- Knowledge or experience of the retail and manufacturing sectors would be advantageous
