JOB SPECIFICATION
Operations Manager
Reporting to: Rob Mackay
Duties:

  • Forward planning of labour and vehicles to suit needs of individual projects
  • Process, schedule planning and key decision making when projects are operational and ongoing adjustments while projects are live and maintaining budgetary requirements
  • Oversea workshop and workshop team ensuring timely delivery of work.
  • Supervise site crew and ensure quality of skills and experience
  • Streamline of operational process to improve performance and delivery while keeping quality
  • Ensure costs are managed effectively and within budget
  • Vehicle maintenance and keeping operators' licence up to date
  • Managing day to day operational needs of the business
  • Procurement of materials for each project, including managing all costs
  • Day to day management of project coordinator, workshop and manufacturing staff.
  • Management of head office and on-site health and safety
  • Reviewing and/or establishing processes and procedures to maximise cost and efficiency
  • Ensuring process and procedures to maximise cost and efficiency
  • Building maintenance
  • Effective planning and continual training and development of you and your team.
  • Day to day you will be accountable for reporting, assisting with targeting, costs, loss prevention, workshop processes and systems
  • Liaise with suppliers and clients when necessary.
  • Stock checking and inventory
  • Planning workload for workshop/ manufacturing department and ensuring that all materials are available.
  • Providing quotations for clients, and on occasions following the PM processes for completing a project and invoicing.
  • Working hours to suit the business needs which may include late nights/early mornings and weekends.
    Responsibilities:
  • Management of key employees and site crew
  • Management and maintenance of company vehicles
  • Management and efficient running of individual sites
  • Training programme and performance evaluations for key employees
  • Management of Health and Safety initiatives both on and off site
  • Management of all operational costs and supply chain.
