Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager
Stockport

Role Profile

A successful engineering company in Stockport is looking to recruit a Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager to lead their team of Buyers.

Key responsibilities

Negotiate commercial terms and manage key, strategic suppliers for critical components
Work pro-actively to achieve cost savings in the supply chain by issuing RFQs and tenders and supplier negotiation
Drive improvements in supplier performance
Oversee purchase order process to ensure suppliers are delivering on time and in full
Proactively resolve issues across the supply chain to minimise disruption to customer delivery dates
Manage purchasing team to ensure high performance levels and KPIs

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Previous Supply Chain or Purchasing experience
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Experience within an engineering environment such as Automotive or Aerospace
Proven leadership skills
Target driven with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs
