Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager

Role Profile

A successful engineering company in Stockport is looking to recruit a Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager to lead their team of Buyers.

Key responsibilities

  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage key, strategic suppliers for critical components
  • Work pro-actively to achieve cost savings in the supply chain by issuing RFQs and tenders and supplier negotiation
  • Drive improvements in supplier performance
  • Oversee purchase order process to ensure suppliers are delivering on time and in full
  • Proactively resolve issues across the supply chain to minimise disruption to customer delivery dates
  • Manage purchasing team to ensure high performance levels and KPIs

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous Supply Chain or Purchasing experience
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience within an engineering environment such as Automotive or Aerospace
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Target driven with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs
