Role Profile
Our client is a fast-paced, high-volume logistics business, and are looking to recruit a hands-on Operations Manager. Reporting to the Area manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the performance of a team ensuring that the business meet's clients and customers expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• To implement strategies that will improve performance across the organisation and develop it for future growth by working with stakeholders across the organisation and successfully leading a team of managers.
• Pro-actively review and plan strategies to maximise network service to include capacity & resourcing and ensure the successful implementation of these strategies through the team.
• Set and define budgetary criteria for management to apply and maintain to ensure cost efficiency across the business unit.
• People leadership - developing your team and driving the people agenda to ensure efficiency and excellence.
• Driving improvement in performance measures to improve customer and client experience.
• Health and Safety compliance within the network to ensure standards are met and maintained.
• Responsible for building and maintaining a strong, productive, and professional local union relationship.

Key Skills

• High volume background is essential - e-commerce, retail, FMCG, 3PL etc would be desirable.
• Customer-centric background.
• Previous background of setting and managing budget.
• Experience of managing third-party relationships.
• Hands on leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels.
• You must have a valid UK driving license.
