Role Profile

Cast UK are working in partnership with Tri-Star Packaging, the UK's leading food-to-go packaging supplier. Part of Bunzl PLC who are a FTSE 100 business, Tri-Star packaging are seeing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and by attracting new customers. Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a highly driven Sales Manager with fast paced field sales experience, where they've met customers face to face to develop relationships.


This role will have a 70% account management focus and a 30% new business focus therefore the ability to nurture and develop accounts as well as securing new business is essential. The Sales Manager will offer an unrivalled consultative approach to working with customers with a view to gaining trust and long-term business.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing new business plans for existing and new customer portfolios
  • Negotiating terms, ensuring all agreements are correctly contracted
  • Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of growth opportunities in order to meet defined growth expectations
  • Manage relationships within your customer portfolio, providing best in class customer service
  • Visit customer sites / outlets as required
  • Add significant value to customer offerings based on Tri-stars USP's


Skills & Experience

Candidates are sought with some experience of field sales, ideally within the same sector although this is not essential. Experience across the food sector would also be highly desirable. The ability to self manage your time is important as is the ability to always put the needs of the customer first. Being able to add value to Tri-Star' customers is essential, and you must be able to demonstrate how you have added value and what the outcome of that was in your current or previous role. Basic Microsoft Office skills are required, in particular Excel. A tenacious, determined and customer focused outlook is what will serve candidates well in this process.


This is a home-based role that will involve travel throughout the Yorkshire region; therefore, you must be a self starter with the ability to effectively and efficiently plan your own diary.
