Role Profile

Our client, an established E-Commerce retail business, is looking to appoint a Senior Buying Manager to join their close-knit head office team based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a company as it looks to continue its successful path for growth. The role will be taking full commercial responsibility for delivering profitable growth in a large number of key markets across the globe including innovating in the marketplace. Building deep and supportive relationships with the leading supply partners in those markets and successfully negotiating their support for mutual growth. Based in Head Office, the role will report to the Head of Buying. You will also be driving team performance and be responsible for around 15 team members. Acting as a role model for the team through demonstrating excellent personal performance and effectiveness. This is a hands-on role where you will need to be happy to get stuck in and is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a thriving business.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Product and Commercial role
  • Superior leadership and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness
  • First class analytical, problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Commercial astuteness and ability to grow volume and profit
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to devise new products and growth opportunities
  • Proven track in people management, motivation and development
  • Determination to achieve results in a high energy and environment
  • Intermediate use of Excel and Powerpoint
