Role Profile
Cast UK are currently supporting one of our prestigious clients with the recruitment process of a Shift Operations Manager for their fast paced operation based in Manchester. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will work a Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm shift and you will oversee a medium sized team of staff and be the main point of contact on shift for Health & Safety, Compliance and HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote culture of H&S and driving exceptional standards across the warehouse
- Motivating and developing team capability through engagement, training, coaching, mentoring, measuring and follow up
- Performance management and other HR processes including disciplinaries and grievances up to and including dismissal
- KPI management and reporting across operational, commercial and financial targets
- Active Leadership through presence on the floor
- Drive and foster innovation and continuous improvement
- 100% accountability for your team & area through effective teamwork and collaboration (drive high performance)
- Create and deliver Continuous Improvement Plans and drive operational excellence through active leadership
Skills and Experience
- Experience managing disciplinaries, grievances and other related HR processes
- Strong focus on customer requirements and exceeding expectations
- End to end project management and delivery experience is required
- Ability to drive a positive culture through people/change management
- System implementation experience would be advantageous
- Previous experience of full responsibility of shift/operation
