Role Overview:

The stock control team are a vital part of operations, working closely with sales team, buying, accounts, marketing and distribution. In this role you are responsible for ensuring continued product availability, whilst keeping stock levels to a minimum. You'll facilitate consistent delivery of 98.0% service into the stock category, to ensure we are delivering customers a 'best in class' availability. Stockholding will always be required to be within budget, and you'll be responsible for resolving any issues with excess stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To achieve stock availability targets for your Category, within budgeted inventory stock levels through effective end-to-end management of the supply chain
  • Responsible for a portfolio of suppliers
  • Stock replenishment
  • Placement of orders
  • Maintain Purchase order due date accuracy
  • Review Forecasting error ratios via our Demand Planning System
  • System admin using sage ensure that all queries are dealt with in an efficient manner and information is kept up to date.
  • Manage Suppliers Performance: Collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment, continually measuring and improving supplier lead times, reducing operational defects
  • Apply a customer centric approach
  • Influence Decision making to ensure that availability is maximized and managing down unproductive inventory i.e. Forecasts, minimum order quantities
  • Work with internal teams to improve in-stock efficiencies, help drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and supplier management workflow
  • Manage the return of all stocks including Excess/Faulty

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Confident, outgoing individual with a customer centric approach
  • Knowledge of supply chain process and demand planning
  • Motivated and dynamic individual who wants to develop and grow
  • Financial & numerical acumen
  • Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, confident and pro-active
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel) and word
  • Ability to work under pressure
