Role Profile

Outstanding opportunity for this newly created Technical Manager level role, overseeing Technical and Service UK Operations for this Global Consumer Brand.

To provide overall technical product and aftersales to the UK Retail Customers and Service operations

* Understand technical customer service budgets including but not limited to Parts Labour, exchanges and compensation driving costs down without affecting standards.

* Answering technical queries on our product range for both pre sales advice and after sales care.

* Dealing with internal colleagues, end consumers, retailers and distributors.

* Working closely with after-sales service provider to receive training on new products to the range.

* Take accountability for the customers situation, diagnosing problems and creating solutions.

Assist in the Management of Aftersales and spare parts contract - understand and contribute to;

* Term's review, agreement, and management

* Creation of revised SLA with third party providers- Monitor performance levels meeting client on a quarterly basis.

* Engagement with, and ensuring of, deployment of SLA between Service partner and Engineers.

Quantifying Engineer Accountability outside of SLA

* Insurance Claims

· Liability

· Analysis of first time fix rate vs failures

· Extended Warranties Cost

Skills & Experience

The ideal Technical Services Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • A solid technical background
  • Experience within the service provider sector and operating with senior management
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • SLA Management
  • Ability to understand customer business processes and the IT systems
  • Strong strategic and customer focus understanding wider issues impacting the relevant markets.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

5+ years' experience in a similar role.
