Role Profile

An established market leading Logistics business are looking for an experienced individual who has a proven track-record of managing teams within a fast-paced, busy warehouse environment. This is an exciting & rewarding role which will be based at their distribution centre in South Yorkshire. Reporting into the Senior leadership team, you will be accountable for a team, ensuring KPI's are being adhered to, and that high standards are maintained throughout the operation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring site adherence to company policy and applicable legislation with regard to all aspects of the operation including health and safety.
  • Promoting a positive work culture.
  • People management- overseeing a large team of colleagues, ensuring engagement and strong focus on development/ up skilling existing staff.
  • Supporting and leading company projects and initiatives as required.
  • Recruitment, retention and development of warehouse team.
  • Manage operations in line with budget and overall business expectations.
  • Responsible for all site KPI's

Skills & Experience

  • It is essential that you have a background working within fast paced operation
  • Task orientated - able to prioritise effectively. Self-starter and results driven.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Housekeeping
  • Health & Safety - Ensuring that this is practised each and every day. It is desirable that you have the IOSH qualification or similar.
  • IT Literate - Proven & demonstrative knowledge in MS Office (notably Excel).
  • Demonstrative analytical knowledge of using WMS systems to a competent and proficient standard.
