Because the people director’s decisions have budgetary implications, experience of handling budgets and performing cost-benefit analysis on human resource-related strategic plans will stand the prospective candidate in good stead.

County Londonderry is located at the north western side of Northern Ireland, with Antrim to its east and Tyrone to its south. It also shares a border with County Donegal in Eire. By far the largest settlement in County Londonderry is Derry, which has close to 100,000 population, which can be doubled if its environs are taken into account. With the population of the county at around 230,000, it’ not hard to see where the bulk of the population – and the best prospects for People Director work – are located.
The county seat of County Londonderry is not Derry, however, it is Coleraine, 300 miles to the east, close to the border with County Antrim. With a population of 25,000, it is no small town, and should also be a promising place to find such work.
