About the candidate
This candidate is a highly commercial manager of brand, product, and people with both strategic and operational experience in the UK & International roles. They have transferable skills and knowledge that spans across B2B, B2C and Dropship experience within Retail across multiple channels such as E-commerce, Catalogue, and retail/wholesale stores. They are now looking for a new opportunity where they can help an established business, or a relatively small start-up grow.

• Grew Sales revenue of UK Start-up over 100% year on year over 3 years achieving margins at the level of more established businesses.
• Led European Private Brand Merchandising and Buying team consisting of over 30 associates for diverse categories achieving circa €500m sales
• As a successful Category Director, through increased category focus and partnering with key strategic vendors, increased sales, and margin in key underperforming categories such as machines and supplies by over 20%
Areas of expertise
• Manage all trading aspects of business including Category strategy, Product assortment, Sourcing, Supplier selection and Contract negotiation, Pricing strategy and management, Website development and Online Merchandising
• Private Brand strategic development and sourcing for diverse range of products to reflect overarching business principles
• Improved overall category performance in multiple categories and roles across all main kpi’s including Sales , Margin, ROAS and inventory stock turns
• Accountability for leading and mentoring large or small commercial teams to develop and deliver category strategies
