A leading, technology-driven logistics and transportation solutions provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its Brokerage Sales function during an exciting period of growth.

This role is focused on driving new business within key verticals, building strong shipper relationships, and developing tailored freight solutions in collaboration with internal operations teams.

 

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing new freight opportunities across selected industries, with a strong emphasis on consultative selling and network-fit solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage new shipper customers within target industries
  • Develop tailored logistics and brokerage solutions in partnership with operations and pricing teams
  • Build and grow a strong pipeline of new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, and strategic relationships
  • Execute territory and account plans aligned with wider business objectives
  • Secure new business at senior decision-maker level
  • Support smooth onboarding and long-term customer success
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and forecasting
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

Target Industries

Experience in at least two of the following is essential:

  • Courier, Express & Parcel (CEP)
  • E-Commerce
  • Medical / Pharma & Cold Chain
  • Semi / High-Tech

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 years' B2B sales experience within UK and/or European logistics
  • Strong understanding of logistics requirements and service expectations within the target industries
  • Proven success in consultative, solution-led sales
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, hunter-style mindset with a strategic approach to growth
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and EU to customer sites and distribution centres
