Playing a vitally important role linking a high-performing operation with commercial performance through effective cross-functional collaboration, this GM position is an opportunity for someone to join an established business at an exciting time and make a real impact.

If you have experience of impacting operational performance and demonstrable experience of both managing change and impacting P&L and are looking for a role where you can join an established team whilst still driving performance, this is an exceptional opportunity and not to be missed.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and optimise next-day wholesale distribution operations, ensuring consistent service delivery in fast-paced, time-critical environments.
  • Drive commercial performance across sales, operations, and supply chain, aligning teams to improve margin, revenue growth, and customer outcomes.
  • Design, manage, and optimise hybrid distribution networks, balancing fixed assets and 3PL partnerships to maximise cost efficiency and coverage.
  • Operate at board and director level, owning full P&L responsibility and translating strategy into operational and commercial results.
  • Scale and professionalise growing operations, implementing structure, performance management, and operational discipline.
  • Lead change and integration initiatives, including the consolidation and integration of operations in a growth or M&A context.
  • Own stock control and inventory strategy, using data and analysis to optimise availability, reduce working capital, and improve cash flow.
  • Deliver sustainable profitability and service excellence, leveraging operational capability to enhance customer satisfaction and financial returns.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Commercial astuteness and influence, able to develop relationships with SLT/board members to help drive business performance.
  • A drive for operational excellence with the ability to manage both internal and third-party operational performance.
  • Ability to contribute to growth and managing change in a scaling operation.
