Role Profile

A unique opportunity to design & build a global Supply Chain. Your role is responsible for building a world class end to end Supply Chain operation which includes sourcing materials, packaging & distribution.

You will be experienced within Global Supply Chains, sourcing Raw Materials, Factories & Supplier management, ensuring quality is always of the highest standard whilst securing the best possible price.

The successful candidate will come from a fast-paced operation so that you are able to hit the ground running in a start-up environment.

Main Purpose

• To develop a credible supply chain operation, that copes with demand & meets quality standards across the world, including low cost countries
• Develop long term, strategic supplier relationships to reduce costs
• Proactively strive for process improvements across the entire supply chain
• Be responsible for the end to end manufacturing process ensuring that products are built to the highest standards and reach the customers door, on-time and in full
• Implement lean methodologies to improve cost control throughout the Supply Chain

Skills & Experience:

• Source Raw Material suppliers ensuring materials are high quality but at a competitive price
• Source Factories within Asia (or other competitive markets) who can manage demand and timescales
• Source Packaging suppliers who can manage demand
• Source a company who will assemble products in the UK
• Source a distribution partner who can manage the delivery of the products.
• Developing reporting metrics to measure performance and outcomes
• Perform cost analysis using market data and set appropriate benchmarks for major bought-out materials
• Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
• Ensuring import and export compliance
• Build an accurate cost model using market data
• Develop a project plan that will be strictly adhered to ensure the operation progresses as expected
