Indirect Buyer

Role Profile:
Our Client is a leading company in South Yorkshire. They are looking for an Indirect Buyer that will hit the ground running, be hands on and get involved with the ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Involve themselves in tender processes and responsible for direct and indirect spend.
- Carry out risk assessments on activities in their department making sure that methods and systems are work safe.
- Understand the SHEQ policy.
- Conduct the analysis on activities within the department, ensuring that the methods and systems in use are minimising the impact on the environment.
- Manage the procurement of a variety of commodities, services and projects, including the management of the supply base and appropriate contracts / terms and conditions.
- Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures.
- Integration, review and maintenance of group supplier base, maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage the supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of purchasing commodities, services and capital projects.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Self-motivated, capable of working in a team and independently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Able to prioritise tasks quickly and efficiently and react quickly and positively to business requirements.
