Role Profile

Our client is a highly successful manufacturing business with a site based in Crewe. They are currently looking to appoint a Logistics Coordinator to support their established Supply Chain team, initially on a 12-month basis although there is real potential for the contract to be extended.

The key purpose of the role will be to oversee fulfilment of B2B customer orders including arranging shipping and distribution of orders to overseas customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing customer orders from initial receipt through to final shipment
• Acting as point of contact for customer, resolving queries on order status and providing fulfilment reports
• Arranging shipment of orders (sea and air freight), including raising POs for freight / transport suppliers
• Producing relevant and accurate shipping documentation and import / export documentation for customs
• Maintain strong relationships with logistics suppliers, including monitoring performance through tracking KPIs

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain role
• Previous experience of customer order fulfilment in a B2B environment
• Good working knowledge of customs procedures and import / export documentation
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication and influencing ability
