About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Shift Sortation Manager to join a rapidly expanding e-commerce logistics and parcel delivery network in Nottingham.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll take ownership of night sortation operations, leading a team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality parcel processing performance. You'll be joining a forward-thinking logistics business focused on innovation, sustainability, and service excellence across the final mile and last mile delivery sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the night sortation operation, ensuring performance, safety, and quality targets are achieved.
• Oversee the allocation, movement, and processing of parcels to meet service level expectations.
• Recruit, train, and develop warehouse and operational staff to build a high-performing, motivated team.
• Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, compliance, and operational standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.
• Monitor performance data, using metrics to make informed decisions and enhance output.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support wider site performance.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Sortation Manager, Shift Manager, Night Manager, or Operations Supervisor within parcels, final mile logistics, or e-commerce distribution.
• Strong people-management skills - able to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced operation.
• Confident using data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive results.
• Hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of automation or technology-driven sortation processes (advantageous).
• Experience managing night-shift or 24/7 logistics operations preferred.
