My client is an exceptional food retailer looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Chelmsford. Delivering delicious, high quality and innovative food, they are passionate about providing top quality produce to a range of customers. They pride themselves on a knowledgeable customer service and telesales team, considering themselves the first stop for high quality and speciality foods.

Role Profile

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in a procurement/supply chain role as a member of a project delivery teams with the food/FMCG industry. The candidate will be familiar with standard Forms of Contract used in the UK and may be required to provide advice and guidance to others in the way in which the Contracts are to be administered.

Key Responsibilities.

• Responsible for the overall execution of the supply chain strategy
• Provide day to day support and management of the supply team to resolve any issues and communicate effectively to any other stakeholders as required
• Ensure company stock levels are optimised through effective communication, problem solving, team supervision and use of appropriate systems and processes.
• Work both independently and with the Head of Supply and other departments to propose and implement new processes and ways of working to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain.
• Developing reports, procedures and systems relating to Supply activity to manage performance and supply chain metrics.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an FMCG environment
• Minimum of 2 years' experience of supply chain supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A good knowledge of Microsoft GP or other ERP systems
