Role Profile:

Cast UK are supporting one of our key clients with the recruitment process of a Transport Controller for their growing operation based in Greater Manchester. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee a medium sized team of drivers and ensure all routes are planned and deliveries on time.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have strong leadership and management skills to aid in the development of the transport team.

Develop clear and accurate KPIs to manage and improve productivity of the transport workforce

Review fleet requirements to optimise service and effective use of own transport, including the use of third party carriers/couriers, ensuring appropriate authorisation process and cost control.

Agree OTIF target by location and ensure data capture is compliant, analysed and discussed monthly with the branch key stakeholders in sales and operations.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:

Management CPC (National) (would be advantageous)

Systems expertise in ERP, Transport Management Routing & Scheduling packages

Strong communication skills

Extremely well organised

Resilient

Managed a small-medium sized team previously
