Transport Operations Manager

£45,000, + Benefits

Role Profile:

Our client is a leading logistics organisation, in this role you will be working on a particular contract. Reporting directly into the National General Manager, you will be working Monday - Friday 7-5 with flexibility required to suit business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall accountability for the site and staff consisting of Transport Manager, supervisors and planners
Building on customer relationships and upselling where possible
Account management including regular account reviews with customers reporting KPI's both operational and commercial
P&L responsibility for contract (Circa £10m)
Oversee day to day running of operational activity ensuring efficient planning and exceptional customer service

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:

Background in Transport planning would be advantageous
Management of significant transport operations with strong focus on customer service
3PL experience would be highly beneficial
A proven background working within customer centric operations and ability to effectively account manage
Be able to organise workload and prioritise tasks
Excellent customer service skills
Fully computer literate and able to use IT packages including Word, Excel and TMS
Having a can-do attitude with a hand on approach
