Role Profile
Our client is a leading 3PL firm who are looking to recruit a high calibre candidate who will oversee the transport operations. In this position you will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the Transport operations.
Responsibilities
- Having a clear operational plan that always meets the customers standards & expectations
- Understand wider business objectives & constantly look for ways to reduce cost
- Fleet management
- Investigations of failures to try and prevent future issues
- Be the champion of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Record/report incidents that happen on site
- Set goals and objectives for colleagues
- Be involved with disciplinaries & grievances
- Regular communication with team and other staff
- Assisting with recruitment of new staff
- Conduct colleague performance reviews for both temp & perm staff providing constructive feedback to help them improve
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Encouraging & inspiring management style, enabling colleagues to excel in their role
- An innovative approach to leadership
- Ability to identify & evaluate risks to develop solutions
- Strong understanding of reporting recording KPIs
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Good understanding of TMS & other computer systems
- Desire to be apart of a wider team where you are happy to help aid others
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

Remuneration
£28,000 - £32,000 + Competive bonus scheme + Private Healthcare
