Home Working

(Midlands / South client base)

£90,000 - 100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Role Profile

  • Successfully execute the new business element of the Environmental Services strategy and delivery of targets to increase revenue, market share and customer loyalty through effective and professional business development, bid and sales execution;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Environmental Services and the wider business to bid, close and transition new business wins from new and existing contract relationships to against bid commitments and margins;
  • Own sales, including new bids, rebids and contract extensions; responsible for bidding and delivering new business growth in accordance with business plan;

Main Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to and support the BD Director in the formation of the Business Unit strategies/plans that will achieve short, medium and long term profitable growth;
  • Support the BD Director and BU to develop business development strategies and plans for the Environmental & Parking business which will achieve short, medium and long-term profitable growth targets;
  • Experience of managing commercial management teams' members in infrastructure projects and programmes.
  • Experience of working with or for publicly funded bodies and/or a publicly funded project.
  • Experience of planning, developing and implementing infrastructure contracts and of working with procurement teams in tender preparation, administration and evaluation.
  • Experience of using commercial management and reporting processes and systems.
  • Work closely with and support the Business Development Director to shape the market, gain early market intelligence, set and deliver market development plans to ensure capabilities and services remain at the leading edge;
  • Develop and manage a long-term and sustainable pipeline to ensure the Environmental Services business growth targets are achieved;
  • Maintain knowledge of the market place, customer trends and issues and associated solutions to facilitate the development of strategic opportunities and increase differentiation from competitors;

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in:
    • Business development and bidding with demonstrated growth success;
    • The local authority waste, cleansing and grounds maintenance sectors;
  • Demonstrable track record in sales execution - individually led and closed deals in excess of £10m annual sales revenue;
  • Good understanding of tools and processes associated with developing sales and account management strategies and plans;
  • Able to demonstrate senior and strategic account management and the ability to develop effective relationships at all levels;
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills to include interpersonal, written, staff level and executive level business briefings;

Remuneration

£90,000 - £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
