Role Profile

Our client is a growing Logistics business who are looking to expand their Sales team by hiring a Business Development Manager to be based in Lancashire. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial strategy, across both New Business Development and Account Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finding new business opportunities and turning them into profitable agreements for the wider business
  • Continue to grow the existing client base, offering a variety of solutions
  • Report weekly/monthly to the Business Development Director
  • Developing strong relationships across the business
  • Together with other key stakeholders within the business, completing solutions design proposals - within Warehousing and Transport
  • Attend monthly account reviews with existing clients
  • Attend meetings with new business prospects

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of selling Warehousing & Transport solutions is essential
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to find new leads and convert to profitable business
  • Experience of using CRM systems
  • Experience of Cross-Selling/Up-Selling existing accounts to increase revenue streams and provide multiple services to one client
  • Worked previously within a growing Logistics business
