Customs Declarant
Role Profile
Part of the Customs team, your role will consist of completing electronic entries for European Air, Sea & Road Operations. You will adhere to company & external authorities & comply with customs legislation.
Skills & Experience
- Good European Geographical knowledge
- Speaking with customers to gain clearance instructions & any information required to complete customs declarations before shipping
- Review all customer documentation before submitting for customs clearance, this includes checking EORI, commodity codes, tariff information, customs procedures, licence requirements & any other formalities
- Submit relevant documents to HMRC
- Ensure embargo checks have been completed
- Ensure compliance of SOPs for customs & AEO process
- Strong interpersonal & relationship management skills
- Proficient with Excel and comfortable analysing data
