Role Profile
A leading Manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire is expanding their Engineering team due to continued success. They are looking for an experienced design engineer to join their team and work with the growing business. With a background in heavy manufacturing, welding or metal manufacturing the role will be critical in the production of this companies products. Main responsibilities and accountability for the roles include the following:
- Liasing with the different departments across the UK and ensuring designs are developed and maintained to the high standard of the business
- Developing compelling and innovative solutions on low to medium scale projects
- Maintain and create designs, models, 2D drawings and more to high standard
- Support the Sales and Operations Teams in retaining, growing and developing the business
- Drive improvements and changes where modifications are likely
- Accurate and timely report writing
- Liase with the different teams to provide updated drawings and models
- Interaction with Customers throughout the solutions process
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will also have experience of a similair position beforehand, they will need to have worked in a similair manufacturing environment and have the ability to work cross functionall. An analytical and organised outlook is essential with a background in engineering design. Other desirable skills and experience include the following:
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience of developing customer solutions
- Experience of advanced data manipulation and modelling/costing techniques
- Ability to adapt to change
- Experience of working in a project environment
