Bunzl Retail Supplies are excited to be commissioning their new 231,000 square foot facility in Burton Latimer in June 2020 and Cast UK have been chosen as their exclusive partner for their recruitment requirements on site. Bunzl Retail are part of the FTSE100 listed Bunzl PLC. Also operating out of the Burton Latimer site and part of Bunzl Retail Supplies will be Woodway UK, Lightning Packaging Supplies, Keenpac and Classic Bag.
With a large SKU range and vast amounts of product stored on site, we are recruiting an Inventory Operative for the late shift on a Monday to Friday 14:00hrs-22:00 shift pattern. The role will assist in the management of the Inventory function ensuring all associated inventory checks are carried out in line with business expectations and KPI's. The role will assist the operation in reducing the level and volume of stock adjustments and picking errors. To work within customer SLA's (stock holding, PI levels, Adjustments)
Key Responsibilities
- PI Counts - Ensure that PI counts are completed in a timely and accurate manner in line with KPI measurements
- Suspense Investigations - To carry out investigations as required in a timely manner, ensuring investigations have relevance to the discrepancy
- Stock Adjustments - Make adjustments to the stock file as required ensuring that the relevant checks have been completed
- Credit Checks/General queries - To complete checks as requested by colleagues in a timely manner and respond in the agreed timescales.
- Unlocked/ Locked / Empty Bin Checks - Checks are carried out in line with agreed schedules, with discrepancies then investigated in a timely manner.
- Warehouse Management Tasks - To have responsibility for management of the pick runs on a day to day basis, in conjunction with the warehouse managers and the Inventory Supervisor.
- Customer returns - To process customer returns in a timely manner as required.
- To complete other tasks as required on the request of the Inventory supervisor including supporting them in their roles
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an inventory or stock control role
- Able to demonstrate examples of continuous improvement within an inventory role
- Experience of working within a fast paced warehouse operation
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Red Prairie
- FLT licence desirable.
