Role Profile

My client is a global distribution business who are looking to recruit a high calibre inventory supervisor for their operation based in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will supervise an inventory team of multiple shifts.

The Inventory Supervisor will manage the Inventory function of a fast-paced multi-user warehouse. To ensure all associated inventory checks are carried out in line with business expectations and KPI's. To also assist the operation in reducing the level and volume of stock adjustments and picking errors. To work within customer SLA's (stock holding, PI levels, Adjustments).

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures stock adjustments made to the system are valid and the relevant inventory checks have been completed correctly prior to an adjustment being made
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement in relation to reducing the volume and value of stock adjustments
  • Manage audits to ensure accuracy within inventory for the operation as a whole
  • Adjustment information is cascaded through the business to minimalize impact to customers
  • Monitoring of inbound flow into the business. Providing feedback and potential solutions to relevant stakeholders to address concerns.
  • Manages the day to day planning of all inventory staff, ensuring all tasks are planned for each shift
  • Helps to develop the team as required, through the use of SOP's and associated training plans
  • Ensures that KPI targets are in place for the team and that these targets are being met
  • PI counts are completed in line with business requirements
  • Stock takes are managed and completed in line with business requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to evidence success in a previous Inventory Supervisor position
  • Able to demonstrate examples of continuous improvement within an inventory role
  • Experience of supervising a small inventory team in a fast paced warehouse operation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Red Prairie
  • FLT licence desirable.
