Role Profile

Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering Supplies, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a National Account Executive for their Contract Catering team. The role will be home based, and the ideal candidate will be based in the South of the UK or the Midlands. The National Account Executive will be responsible for customers who are predominantly focussed within the Contract Catering team. The National Account Executive will maintain and grow sales and profitability of a defined portfolio of new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily management of major national account and portfolio of development accounts
  • Delivery and compliance of contractual requirements
  • Identify opportunities within the defined portfolio and wider account, to achieve planned growth
  • Manage price files and increases
  • Manage category and product switches
  • Project manage special events and new client roll-outs
  • Understand the needs of the customer and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Industry and product knowledge
  • Seek out opportunities within the wider account and deliver with the relevant key stakeholders.
  • Solution based approach to managing customer challenges, ensuring that they receive the best experience possible.
  • Make appointments with customers to increase sales and work on joint projects. Keeping records of quotes and working with internal sales support to chase and convert opportunities into orders.

This is an home-based National/New business role providing drive sales in a sector specific environment. The successful candidate will seek out the views and ideas of a range of stakeholders (including those who are not specifically in their own area) as well as demonstrating an ability to win through collaboration. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to delegate and recognises and be able to demonstrate the importance of giving time to others. The correct candidate will also have their focus on the customer, recognising the value of understanding the customers underlying needs.
