Role Profile
Cast UK are working in partnership with Bunzl Catering Supplies, the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Part of Bunzl PLC, who are a FTSE 100 business, the companies are seeing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and by attracting new customers. Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a Regional Operations Manager who has a proven record of working as region lead, with in a fast-paced, complex operations. This is a key strategic, high profile position managing multiple branches which are integral to the UK network.
The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the management operational processes to ensure the effective management of sites throughout the north of the UK. This position will maintain focus on lean principles to ensure the operation remains an efficient, low cost operator, whilst maintaining all service level agreements which vary depending on operating company.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L accountability for the region
- Develop annual warehouse and Transport budgets for all sites and hold discussions with senior management
- Manage and deploy resources across the branch to optimize business results
- Ensure all MI information is accurate ahead of daily and monthly leadership review meetings
- Manage, support and coach the management team ensuring effective progression plans are in place
- Communicate effectively across all departments and shifts to ensure continuity
- Ensure staff engagement and welfare levels are positive and in line with the values of the business
Skills & Experience Required
- Must be a proven leader of people in a busy multi-functional environment
- Have an understanding of high volume, low margin distribution
- Proven track record of managing operational change and delivering operational efficiency and service level agreements
- Strong leadership skills with focus on colleague engagement, empowerment and overall development
- Commercially astute with experience in managing significant budgets and P&L's
