Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving business in the Stockport area as a Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator.

This is a busy Supply Chain role working in a fast-paced environment for a business that has seen phenomenal YOY growth over the past few years, as well as continued success over recent months!

Your Key Responsibilities in this Procurement role will include:

  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers across Europe and the Far East
  • Expediting deliveries and monitoring supplier OTIF
  • Arranging shipping for inbound logistics, including container and LCL bookings
  • Resolving day to day supply chain issues and supporting with ongoing SRM
  • Producing KPI reports to track supplier performance
  • Analysing purchasing spend data to identify opportunities for savings and rationalisation
  • Providing data analysis to optimise inventory management and stock control

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced purchasing / procurement role
  • Good MRP / ERP system skills including raising and issuing purchase orders
  • Excellent analytical and MS Excel skills, with experience of analysing purchasing and inventory data
  • Confidence and tenacity to negotiate with suppliers on shipping and delivery terms
  • High attention to detail and good organisation skills
  • Passion and drive to progress your career in Purchasing within a thriving, growing business
