Role Profile
Our client, who is a market leading eCommerce business, is looking for a Product Developer and QC Coordinator to join their growing team based near Halifax. You will have full autonomy to improve the design and usability of products. In this role you will work closely with the creative team, sourcing team and customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for problem solving and who is going to add real value into this fast paced environment. A technical/engineering knowledge is critical for this role but if you can add your creative flair that would be great!
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally with teams in the Sourcing, Customer Service, Logistics to improve and develop products
- Develop overall project timelines and key milestones; ensure teams meet dates
- Facilitate decision-making, remove barriers, and ultimately drive project progress to launch
- Recognize and address shifts in project complexity, scope, and risks
- Ensure project risks are managed, and communicate risks and implications to management as appropriate
- Ensuring global compliance across the supply chain to ensure accuracy and quality standards
- Checking stock and samples to ensure QC
- Work with team to identify and execute system improvements
- Centralised contact between Operations (Contract Mfg, Procurement, Logistics, Planning, Quality) and Business Units (Marketing, General Management, Brand Experience)
- Serve as a CAD specialist within the business
- Working autonomously and taking initiatives in decision making
- Partner with operational functions to identify strategic opportunities to improve service and reduce cost across business units and execute those strategic projects within the business
- Contribute to and champion evolution of process for developing and commercializing new products
- Ensure process and tools are understood and applied by cross-functional teams
- Identify opportunities to improve the process
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an eCommerce or Fast Paved environment
- CAD knowledge
- A technical/Engineering background
- Familiar with cross functional, cross departmental and multi-cultural environment in a matrix organisation
- A good decision maker who can make choices quickly and effectively
- Ability to analyse and evaluate data against key indicators, to monitor programs, projects and plans to set targets.
- Quality experience to improve processes
- Attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
