Role Profile

Our client is a growing manufacturing / engineering business in the Bolton area, currently looking to hire a Production Planner to join their team.

Key areas of responsibility for this Production Planner role will include:

• Creating short, mid and long term production plans for the site
• Planning production activities for manufacturing in line with production capacity, material availability and customer demand
• Capacity planning including optimisation of labour and workforce
• Leading production planning meetings with the Manufacturing team and being an active member of the S&OP process
• Driving improvements in processes and internal KPIs
• Driving through cost savings and efficiencies through the site wherever possible

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrable experience as a Production Planner or Production Scheduler with good knowledge of MRP
• Proven track record as a production planner in a highly regulated manufacturing or engineering environment such as Aerospace or Automotive
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel
• Passion for continuous improvements
