Role Profile

Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a Regional Account Manager for their Public Sector team covering the Midlands & South region. Reporting into the Regional Head of Sales you will have a 75% focus on existing accounts and 25% focus on new business. Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a highly driven Regional Account Manager with fast paced field sales experience, where they've met customers face to face to develop relationships. The role will be field based and include travel across the network to customers. The Regional Account Manager will offer an unrivalled consultative approach to working with customers with a view to gaining trust and long-term business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing new business plans for existing and new customer portfolios
  • Negotiating terms, ensuring all agreements are correctly contracted
  • Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of growth opportunities in order to meet defined growth expectations
  • Manage relationships within your customer portfolio, providing best in class customer service
  • Visit customer sites / outlets as required
  • Add significant value to customer offerings based on business USP's

Skills & Experience

Candidates are sought with some experience of field sales, ideally with experience dealing with public sector. Experience across the hospitality sector would also be highly desirable. The ability to self manage your time is important as is the ability to always put the needs of the customer first. Being able to add value to customers is essential, and you must be able to demonstrate how you have added value across multiple customers; both existing and new business. Basic Microsoft Office skills are required, in particular Excel. A tenacious, determined and customer focused outlook is what will serve candidates well in this process.

This is a field-based role that will involve travel throughout the Midlands and South, therefore you must be a self starter with the ability to effectively and efficiently plan your own diary.
