Supply Chain Planning Manager

Role Profile

Our client is a growing FMCG business near the Preston area, looking to appoint a new Supply Chain Planning Manager in to the team.

In this crucial role you will manage and oversee the planning team and look to implement and improve planning processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of supply chain planners covering demand planning and production scheduling
  • Oversee the creation of demand plans and production schedules
  • Implement and lead the S&OP process for the site
  • Manage customer demand vs forecast
  • Manage inventory levels to balance stock reduction and availability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning processes and ensure high forecast accuracy

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing supply chain / planning teams
  • Previous hands-on experience in a demand planning and/or production planning role within a fast paced, FMCG environment
  • Track record of delivering continuous improvements and developing planning processes
  • Excellent analytical ability, including good working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
