Transport Manager - FTC

Role Profile
Our client is an established Logistics business who is looking to bring in an experienced Transport Manager on an initlal Fixed Term Contract, with a view for the role to become permanent. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the entire Transport function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Company`s drivers and traffic staff including appraisals and any appropriate disciplinary action where required.
- Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are maintained through a proactive safety culture.
- Take part in investigations for all vehicle accidents and incidents.
- Organise driver training where required.
Skills & Experience:
- Transport Management CPC qualified.
- Previous experience of overseeing a P&L budget would be advantageous
- Clear and effective interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
- Experience of working within a 3PL environment would be ideal
- Graduate scheme experience
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practice.
