Role Profile

Cast UK is working with a well-established 3PL business who are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Coordinator. The successful candidate will support the on-site Contracts Manager while providing excellent service for both external and internal customers. Ensuring that all compliances and operational processes are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of call for all transport queries, ensuring excellent service and correct information in response to requests.
  • Plan/prioritise the daily workload.
  • Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company H&S policies.
  • Ensure all daily H&S tasks are completed.
  • Complete and review risk assessments.
  • Investigate all accidents/incidents and ensure corrective actions are carried out.
  • Maintain full audit compliance.
  • Ensure all equipment is correctly maintained and complies with the company/legal processes.
  • Update all staff with new processes/procedures.
  • Analyse complex data and make logical decisions.
  • Ensure all WMS/Voice/TMS systems are all up to date and utilised fully.
  • Monitor performance on an individual basis and report accordingly.
  • Working towards set KPIs ensuring targets are achieved
  • Support Contract Manager with higher level queries and cover leave

Skills & Experience

  • Distribution background, ideally within a 3PL environment
  • Good communication skills are essential with the ability to express empathy with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential.
  • Experience resolving disputes in a fair and calm manner and be able to identify issues, which could potentially become problematic and avoid situations arising.
  • Report writing on Customer Service activity and propose recommendations on how improvements could be made for mutual gain.
  • Computer literate, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
