Role Profile

Bunzl Distribution Services are delighted to be recruiting an additional 10 permanent Warehouse Operatives for their 231,000 square foot facility in Burton Latimer that went live in June 2020. Since the new site began operating, the business has gone through considerable growth which has been achieved by developing both their existing customer base and attracting new customers.

Bunzl Distribution Services are part of the FTSE100 listed Bunzl Plc and service their Bunzl partners, Bunzl Retail Supplies, Woodway UK and Lightning Packaging Supplies.

Shift Patterns available are on annualised hours and are listed below:

Monday-Friday 06:00hrs - 14:00hrs

Monday-Friday 14:00hrs - 22:00hrs

Sunday - Thursday 22:00hrs - 06:00hrs

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and check into the warehouse accurately reporting any short orders to the Stock Controller.
• Pick goods accurately and build pallets safely
• Replenishment of stock
• Assist in cycle and stock counts
• Place goods correctly into storage bays.
• Assist in loading vehicles, working with the driver to ensure compliance with all vehicle loading legal requirements and to ensure pallets are stacked safely
• Keep records of stock and paperwork up to date
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
• Ensure the warehouse/yard is always kept clean and tidy, spillages promptly cleared, waste minimised.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
• Achieve targets and job standards set out by Team Leaders/Supervisors
• Discharge duties in a safe manner in accordance with relevant legislation and Bunzl EHS policies.

Skills & Experience

• Experience of working in a warehouse environment
• VNA experience would be highly desirable
• Experience of using RF scanners / Red Prairie would be desirable
• Knowledge of H&S policy
• LLOP licence
• Reach truck licence
