Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK are leading the search for a Warehouse Supervisor to be based in their NDC in Tamworth. Reporting into the Warehouse Operations Manager the Warehouse Supervisor will take responsibility ensuring every item of stock gets to its destination on time, and there are no shortages and resolving issues efficiently, accurately and quickly, making sure the correct resource is in place to ensure the operation functions properly with minimal impact on the budget and SLA's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all activities of warehouse staff
  • Coach, train, manage the performance of warehouse operatives
  • Receive goods and check into the warehouse accurately reporting any short orders to Manager and Stock Controller.
  • Check for damaged or missing items and resolve, report your findings to the Ops Manager
  • Assist with Warehouse operational functions when required to do so to ensure the needs of the business are always met
  • Keep records of stock and paperwork up to date, cross function communication.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work
  • Carry out stock checks as directed by senior management team and provide analysis.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment at a Team Leader or Supervisory level
  • Used to be on the warehouse floor with the team and be visible to all
  • Proven track record of managing operational change and delivering operational efficiency and service level agreements
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness, and a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others
  • A perfectionist with the ability to comply with clearly defined rules and regulations
