Role Profile
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving distribution business in the Manchester area as a Supply Chain Planner.
This is a busy Supply Chain role working in a fast-paced environment for a business that has grown exponentially over the last six months.
Your Key Responsibilities in this Supply Chain Planner role will include:
- Placing purchase orders with suppliers
- Expediting deliveries to ensure orders arrive on time and in full
- Working with the Sales team to forecast customer demand
- Optimise inventory levels to ensure minimum stock holding whilst achieving stock availability for customers
- Resolving day to day supply chain issues with suppliers and escalate to Procurement as required
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced supply chain role, ideally in a distribution environment
- Proven track record of managing inventory
- Confidence to negotiate and expedite deliveries with suppliers
- Good analytical skills, including good working knowledge of MS Excel
- High attention to detail and good organisation skills
