Transport Manager

Role Profile:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Transport Manager who thrives on working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. The purpose of this role will be to lead, direct and manage the transportation function; developing, implementing, and managing the company's fleet processes, while ensuring efficient and effective processes and systems to support current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively contribute to the long-term resource planning of the site in regard to assets and recruitment. Leading the short and medium-term provision of resourcing using various tools.
- Responsible for vehicle management, including liaison with fleet to ensure compliance with transport / environmental legislation including any third-party insurance claims.
- Looking for ways in which to reduce cost and improve service, ensuring the site meets budget commitments by closely managing controlled costs.
Skills:
- Transport Manager's CPC qualification and experience in managing an Operator's License
- Experience in managing large fleets of HGVs and Drivers is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a customer facing environment.
