Role Profile

Our client is a leading Logistics business with depots located throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit a high calibre candidate who will cost effectively plan the collection & onward delivery of orders throughout their network. You will be given a clearly defined region or business area.

Responsibilities

• Cost effectively plan collections & onward deliveries
• Utilise tools & resources available to produce the best possible plan within defined rulesets
• Build relationship with Transport & Warehouse providers as well as customers
• Look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Analyse your outputs looking for opportunities to enhance the network
• As you get more experienced, take on more responsibility where you have a bigger influence to effect change

You will be monitored on the following KPIs: Vehicle utilisation, KMs & empty running, Financial business targets, Service KPIs, SLA adherance

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of transport planning (crucial)
• Has an understanding of network planning (crucial)
• Experience of planning transport routes for multiple clients or depots (preferable)

Remuneration
£26,000 - £30,000 DOE
