Role Profile
Cast UK are supporting our client, who is a leading logistics business, in their recruitment process of a Transport Planner. Reporting to the Transport Team Leader in a fast-paced Transport environment, you will be planning routes in a cost-effective manner whilst adhering to WTD and Driver hour.
Key Accountabilities & Experience:
- Responsible for routing vehicles all across the UK, ensuring SLA's are met
- Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end process of General Haulage
- Plan routes in a cost-effective manner whilst adhering to WTD and Driver hour
- Previous experience in Freight, General Haulage or Contract Logistic
- A good understanding of the First Mile delivery sector
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
