Role Profile
Our client, who is a specialist Logistics business, are looking to recruit a Transport Planner for their ever-growing operation based in Derbyshire. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee the planning and routing of the Specialist vehicles within the fleet that you oversee.
Skills & Experience
- Previous transport planning and driver management experience essential.
- Previous experience of working within the Aggregate industry would be advantageous
- Planning system implementation experience would be advantageous
- CPC Holder preferred.
- Working knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Excellent organisation, communication and customer service skills.
- Sound understanding of financial / commercial aspects of transport operations.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Flexible approach to meet changing customer demands and work flows.
- Capacity to learn and strive for continuous improvement.
- Strong Geographical knowledge
