Cast UK are representing a market-leading FMCG organisation. The business is continuing to invest in its route-to-market strategy and is now looking to appoint a Wholesale Channel Controller to lead and accelerate growth across the UK Wholesale channel.

This is a senior commercial leadership role, offering full ownership of strategy, execution and performance within a critical route to market.

The opportunity

Reporting into senior commercial leadership, this role is responsible for defining and delivering the Wholesale Channel strategy. You'll lead a team of nine Account Managers, alongside responsibility for a third-party field sales operation, ensuring best-in-class execution across customers.

You'll play a key role in shaping joint business plans, driving sustainable and profitable growth, and strengthening long-term wholesale partnerships. The role works cross-functionally with Shopper Marketing, Category, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure plans are aligned, commercially robust and operationally deliverable.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of nine direct reports across account management and new business development
  • Oversee and optimise a third-party field sales team, ensuring strong execution, coverage and compliance with agreed plans
  • Develop and deliver the Wholesale Channel strategy in line with wider commercial priorities
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key wholesale partners, owning negotiations and joint business planning
  • Full P&L ownership for the Wholesale channel, balancing investment, margin and long-term growth
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Use data, insight and market trends to identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement across the channel

About you

  • Proven senior commercial experience within FMCG sales, ideally within an impulse-led or wholesale-focused environment
  • Strong understanding of the UK Wholesale landscape, with the ability to influence at senior customer level
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Commercially astute, with experience owning P&L and delivering profitable growth
  • Confident negotiator with experience developing and delivering joint business plans
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
